Esso Sao Paulo in 1963. She was one of the famous T2 tanker built in the US during WWII by the US war commission. In 1955 she was lengthened and 8 pressurized vessels were installed in the centre tanks for the transportation of LPG, effectively making her one of the first ships able to transport LPG

My father on Esso Sao Paulo (on the right). He served on this ship as 1st mate from 14.9.55 (Genoa) until 10.9.56 (Jacksonville, US)
