This is the Esso Panama Quarterboard (or name plate). I purchased it from a private collector in 2004. When I got it it was in very poor condition (see picture below). I have restored to the present condition and it is now hanging in my house. This has a very high sentimental value for me as my father was the first Captain of this ship.
